Our client in Coconut Grove envisioned a unique modern fence that blends raw corten steel with natural stone elements, featuring an organic weathered look. The challenge was to deliver a custom design with special finishes that would age gracefully while maintaining long-term durability. The client reached out to us to fabricate the entire structure with precise craftsmanship and a controlled patina effect.

Using our in-house laser cutting and fabrication equipment, we produced every corten steel panel and structural element to exact specifications. The finish was achieved with our custom acid-based patina technique, which initiates the rusting process to create deep, natural tones.

At the client’s request, the surface was left unsealed, allowing the patina to continue developing naturally over time — gradually deepening in color while forming a self-protective layer that prevents further corrosion.

The final result is a striking architectural fence that merges warm rusted metal with textured stone, perfectly balancing nature and modern design. It stands as a showcase of how corten steel’s unique alloy composition makes it both visually dynamic and structurally resilient — a material now widely recognized and celebrated in the design industry.
